With excitement, Logicrays presents its most recent achievement: developing a customised Dr.Kats is a weight loss and nutrition app that helps users track their diet and activity in order to meet fitness and weight management objectives. It is available as a mobile application.

Objectives
Develop a digital education platform that aligns with the Saudi curriculum standards for all levels and subjects
Implement interactive features such as assignments, quizzes, and multimedia content to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
Create a parent dashboard to facilitate transparent communication and collaboration between parents, students, and educators.
Project Strategy & Execution
Project Prep and QA
- Our client gave us the go-ahead to start working on this project, but we didn't feel prepared to handle it at that point. Therefore, our quality assurance personnel to fully understand the requirements and work flow before we could freeze the project and begin development in January 2023.
Design Collaboration
- Collaborated with the client to create wireframes and design mockups. Conducted thorough testing to identify and fix bugs. Integrated a Yoco secure payment gateway for smooth transactions.
Design refinement
- After resolving the first usability concerns, we developed high resolution prototypes and mockups of the layout.
User Flow
- We mapped a user path that gave recognition priority over recall in order to accomplish the app's goal of having a user-friendly layout. This was accomplished by designing a route that is recognizable to the users.
CHALLENGES
Data Accuracy
- The app's meal database, which might not always be up-to-date or contain every food item, is what determines how accurate and complete the nutritional information is.
User interest
- In the cutthroat market for health and fitness apps, maintaining user interest over time can be difficult. To maintain user motivation, new features and updates must be provided often.
Integrate Yoco Payment Gateway
- As the vision was big, the demand for providing payment options was big too. The long list includes, pay via cash, coupons, card, online payment, Yoco Payment. The client wanted us to integrate Yoco payment to allow its customers to have an easy checkout experience by paying in seconds using their choice of payment option.
Results
The project's goal was to develop a mobile app for creating personalized diet plans based on a "rotation diet," completed in July 2023 despite numerous challenges. The project began in January 2023 and was successfully delivered to the client's satisfaction. Overall, it was a significant success, providing valuable experience in app development, release management, and project management.
